Born and raised in New York City, I’ve been shaped by a diverse range of experiences. My mom, brother, and I moved frequently, which taught me resilience and adaptability. My mom, a hair and makeup artist who’s worked with acts like Lenny Kravitz, Bon Jovi, and Led Zeppelin, has been a constant source of strength and inspiration. Being surrounded by creative people from a young age sparked my passion for creativity.
At 15, I picked up the guitar, and music became a powerful outlet. During COVID, I channeled that passion into producing music on Spotify, connecting with others during a time of isolation.
Growing up in New York gave me a unique perspective on diversity, shaping my approach to design with sensitivity to different people and experiences. Despite struggling with learning disabilities, I jumped into the workforce after high school, spending years in the hospitality and restaurant industry, learning the ins and outs of customer service and operations.
Realizing I needed more, I pursued a degree in computer science at Hunter College. After graduating, I had the rare opportunity to join the management team for Duran Duran, honing skills in project management and collaboration.
For the past two years, I’ve worked as a freelance designer, diving into various projects. Recently, I’ve focused on a startup that uses AI agents to automate compliance with frameworks like SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and HIPAA, deepening my understanding of how technology can improve business efficiency.
My journey has taught me empathy and resilience, which I bring into my work as a designer. I strive to create solutions that truly meet people’s needs. Thanks for reading my story.
